Hi, I’m Cubby!

I could write a few paragraphs and try to explain who I am, but this video I put together a year into my streaming career pretty well sums it up.

A lot has happened since that video was made…

Hatchets

I wrote my first published parody called “Hatchets”, which is a Dead by Daylight parody of “Ashes” by Celine Dion. The song was performed by the amazingly talented Orange U Gladd.

2020-2022

2020 hit everyone really hard with the pandemic. Businesses were shut down, people were forced to stay home, and many people lost loved ones to a hideous plague. Unfortunately, I was dealing with something else along side of Covid-19 the entire time. In April of 2020, things really started to become noticeable. My health started declining: I was not able to hold down food very well and I noticed intense pain whenever I would eat. It took several trips to the emergency room and my primary care physician, but I was finally set up with a Gastrointestinal Specialist in the last half of 2021. After numerous tests including colonoscopies and nuclear medicine tests where I literally had to eat radioactive eggs while they watched them digest, I was diagnosed with a slew of ailments: GERD, Diverticulosis, Gastroparesis, and EPI (Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency). Basically, my body started rejecting food and anything that isn’t rejected, doesn’t get processed because the enzymes aren’t being produced to break down the nutrients.

Treatments were tried, some almost being fatal (at one point was experiencing Serotonin Shock Syndrome which can be very deadly), before being discharged by my Gastrointestinal Doctor. The reason why? My body wasn’t responding at all to the treatments which led them to believe it’s something else affecting me, whether it be neurological or maybe an autoimmune disease. Regardless, the only two options left, which were a Gastric Pacemaker or a feeding tube, were decided to be against better judgement since we couldn’t find the root cause.

Thus begins 2022. Most of the year, I spent fighting trying to find a Neurologist (a fight I’m still fighting), however, new challenges started to appear. In August of 2022, the most amazing thing ever happened. I got to marry the love of my life, HubbyPanda (Ray) and a large part of my community from Twitch was able to attend. My amazing friend VikingTells (Formerly HappyVikingMan) was even the amazing soul that officiated the ceremony, flying in all the way from Las Vegas. The reason I bring this up is because this was right when the other ailments started to show face. I began to have nerve issues on the right side of my body. First, my right arm started having contractures where it was basically curled up next to my chest for the majority of the time. It has since started affecting my right leg more than anything, causing me to now walk with a cane 24/7. I have numbness that turns to pain that affects my entire body. My back, abdomen, arm, and leg on the right side is what is affected at all times and the rest of my body has sporadic moments. (What’s really scary is when you’re lying in bed and all of a sudden you’re face goes numb.)

I’m still pushing for answers and hopefully to have a neurologist in my repertoire soon. I just want to be able to get through the days. Luckily enough, this community I have been blessed with through Twitch has gotten me through all these tough times. I cannot thank this family enough for everything – Y’all have made this panda’s life worth it.
